I brought my vehicle in for warranty repairs in September 2025, yet those repairs were not completed until March 2026. Before the repairs were completed, I was pressured to return the loaner car with claims that some arbitrary mileage limit had been exceeded. I was pressured to buy a new battery in order to solve the warranty problem, but it turned out a new battery was not necessary. I was pressured to purchase a wiring harness to solve the warranty problem, but I refused because I knew the harness was covered by the warranty and I was offended that I would be asked to pay for parts covered by the warranty. My vehicle is less than 4 years old, less than 43,000 miles, new transmission installed by Steve Rayman Chevy in December 2025. Its value should be more than the lowest KBB, Edmunds, NADA dealer trade amount, but the Thornton sales manager only valued it at $15,000, more than $1,000 below dealer trade, more like auction valuation, indicating a lack of confidence in the quality of the service department work product.

I made an online appointment. I received a reminder, but when I got to the dealership, they had not received a notification of my appointment. The first rep I talked to at the dealership asked if I was going to leave the vehicle and I said no, I was going to wait (which is what I put in the online form) He said that the work was going to take 4 - 5 days. I left but ended up walking in to talk with the manager on duty.
They were able to get the engine light issue done in about 2 1/2 hours and diagnosed some of the other issues I knew about. I appreciate them working me in.
The biggest issue I had was making an appointment (several days out) taking a day off of work and getting to the dealership and being told that you would not be able to get to it that - in fact it would probably be several days before you even looked at the car.
Signing up for an appointment on one day but not expecting the care to be looked at for several days seems to me to be deceptive. If you can't work on the car until X date, then have the appointment set for that date.
